I attended various theatre workshops where i became skilful in the technique of stage make-up, and many secrets and tips were disclosed to me as part of my training.
"The best women's makeup information in the UK."
My career took me all over the world, where I not only worked in theatre but television too. This gave me the opportunity to discover the correct make-up for differing skin types, also the consideration of climate and lights.
On my return to the uk, I continued to work in the theatre, and was lucky enough to work with some well known names, all of whom had their 'own tricks of the trade" and where happy to pass these onto me.
However, it was while I was working with the David Essex tour that I decided my next career move would be in the beauty industry. I eventually hung my shoes up, and enrolled at the portsmouth college and gained a position with an American photography company as a makeup artist.
I stayed with this company for two years, and in 1996 I formed my own business called "Making Faces", successfully specialising in brides and wedding parties, but my work is diverse from students proms to hen nights. in fact any occasion is an excuse to look beautiful!
My workshops have proved very successful. These enable me to pass on helpful tips and "Know how" to those wishing to gain confidence in doing it themselves. I've even been known to give secrets of the "stars" away!
